Lichdom: Battlemage finally brings the glory to the magic user that it has long deserved. Its classic story of wizarding revenge and challenging magic system encouraged me to devise new ways to burn, smash, and corrupt my enemies. The art is amazing, supported by captivating music which makes the whole journey which is scary yet fantastic. Lichdom is a sharp-looking, complex take on sorcery. The spells are powerfully wicked and the blasts feel very satisfying somehow. Lichdom: Battlemage is built around the most satisfying spellcasting this side of Kingdoms of Amalur, and it’s this one system that drives the adventure from beginning to end. It does one thing exceptionally well, while the rest of the game languishes a bit. You are dropped into a beautiful world and then set free to destroy bizzare enemies including everything in sight.īe prepared because some of the content is a little extreme, and it gets even more intense as the characters develop.
